Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a market leading business at the forefront of their industry who are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a role with responsiblity for leading the purchasing of finished goods within a well-established supplier of electrical and mechanical workshop equipment.
Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, the succesful candidate will oversee the end-to-end process, helping to manage the sourcing of a wide range of finished goods, primarily from China and the Far East, as well as Europe.
They are ideally looking for someone with a strong background in imports, logistics, and a solid understanding of global supply markets who can hit the ground running but are a close knit team who will help upskill the right candidate.

Role & Responsibilities
Lead supply chain operations including merchandise planning, demand forecasting, and stock level optimisation.
Oversee the end-to-end purchase order process, including raising orders, reviewing proformance invoices, and coordinating supplier confirmations.
Manage international shipping and freight logistics, ensuring timely despatch and delivery in collaboration.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, regularly benchmarking costs and negotiating pricing based on market trends, raw materials, and exchange rates.
Lead new product sourcing initiatives, overseeing supplier selection, sample testing, compliance, and supporting product launches through marketing and pricing alignment.
Experience & Requirements
5+ years of procurement/purchasing/buying experience, with hands-on experience managing international suppliers and product imports.
Experience with end-to-end shipping logistics, customs compliance, and international freight coordination, ideally from the Far East.
Excellent communication skills, , with the ability to liaise effectively with technical, marketing, warehouse, and senior stakeholders.
Familiarity with CE certification processes and product compliance standards for technical equipment or consumer goods.
Experience in managing product quality, warranty issues, and implementing continuous product improvement strategies with overseas manufacturers.
