Salary & Package: £48,000 - £52,000 + bonus + travel allowance + and a strong benefits package

Sea Global are proud to be partnering with a well-recognised public sector organsiation at the forefront of the transport industry. They are recruiting for a Category Manager on to join their exciting fast paced function.

They are looking for a procurement professional who has experience across direct and/or indirect categories. While this role will include Fleet, Construction, FM, Services, Infrastructure, Materials, and other ad hoc categories they are open to people with a range of category experience.

Role & Responsibilities

End to end procurement and category management, including leading tenders, sourcing and supplier management
Develop and implement strategic category strategies across the designated categories
Create contractual agreements with supplies ensuring they are fit for purpose and deliver commerciality to the business
Work closely with internal stakeholders, advising on best practice for obtaining best value for money

Experience & Requirements

Experience working within a regulated environment and adhering to the Public Contract Regulations (PCR 2015) / Procurement Act 2023
End-to-end procurement, category management, or tendering experience
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills
CIPS or working towards
